The European PhD on Social Representations and Communication 3rd International Lab meeting (11th International Summer School) will be held at the:European PhD on Social Representations and Communication Research center and Multimedia Lab, located in the very heart of Rome at  Palazzo Colonna - P.zza d'Ara Coeli, 1 – 00186 Rome

It is a three stars hotel recently restored in a very alive district, very well connected by bus and underground to the Termini Station, which is also the terminal of the Fiumicino Airport. Bus from Termini Station is number 75 (get off  after 9 stops).

 

Breakfast is offered in a panoramic terrace.

The fact that invited speakers and tutors will spend their time under the same roof with the other conference participants will facilitate informal communication and a friendly atmosphere.

The hotel is at a 5 minute walking distance from the lab (walk in direction of P.zza Venezia and Piazza d'Ara Coeli, 1)

ARRIVAL FROM FIUMICINO AIRPORT

By rail :

Non stop trains to Roma Termini Station are very frequent. A ticket costs 10 Euro

Tickets can be purchased at vending machines located in the airport arrival hall and at the railway station. Train schedules are posted inside railway stations.

autonomous arrival / departure

 

By bus (night service):

CO.TRA.L. bus services from airport to Roma Tiburtina railway station. The stop is close to the International Terminal Arrivals area. Tickets must be bought on the bus and cost 5,00 Euro.

 

By taxi:

We strongly advise that you use licensed taxis with meters. The fares of the licensed public taxis from Fiumicino to Rome is about 40 Euro flat rate, surcharge fees are applied for baggage, night runs, Sundays and holidays. Therefore don't be surprised if the bill is considerably more than the fare shown on the meter. 

 

ARRIVAL FROM CIAMPINO AIRPORT

The bus service links the airport Ciampino to the train station of Ciampino, where trains are available to Roma Termini station and Anagnina underground station.

The bus station and automatic ticket machines are close to the arrival and departure terminal.

By taxi:

We strongly advise that you use licensed taxis with meters. The fares of the licensed public taxis from Ciampino to Rome is about 35 Euro flat rate, surcharge fees are applied for baggage, night runs, Sundays and holidays. Therefore don't be surprised if the bill is considerably more than the fare shown on the meter. The ride takes about 20 minutes.

 

PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN ROME

Buying a ticket – metrebus (http://www.atac.roma.it/):

The integrated ticket “Metrebus” gives you the freedom of using all public transports within the metropolitan area of Rome, excluding the direct rail link Termini- Fiumicino Airport, the special tourist service. Tickets must be bought before boarding on the underground, at authorised vendors (newsagent, tobacconist) and automatic ticket machines.

Termini station is linked to Metro A (for connection to Metro Anagnina) as well as to Metro B ( for connection to Metro Ponte Mammolo).

Tiburtina station is linked to Metro B (for connection to Metro Ponte Mammolo).
