8th International Conference on Social Representations

Social Representations: Media and Society

You are kindly invited to complete the Registration Form, being careful to include all the requested information.  While we are aware that the compilation of the form may be somewhat time-consuming, it will however be crucial for building the on-line scientific community specialized in Social Representations, which is in all of our interests for future shared use.

NO MORE THAN ONE ABSTRACT FORM FOR EACH AUTHOR (as first author) WILL BE ACCEPTED.

All participants, interested in having their contributions integrated in the Proceedings of the 8th ICSR 2006, must be registered by 15th January 2006.

Please note that ABSTRACT SUBMISSION FORM IS INTEGRATED IN THE REGISTRATION PROCEDURE.  In order to facilitate the completion of the Abstract Submission, you are advised to follow the instructions given:

If you intend present  a contribution in one of the five options (Symposia (S) , Thematic Discussion Group  (TDG) and Round Tables (RT), Poster Interactive Session (PIS), Free Contribution FC), please select your role within the conference as ‘SPEAKER’ in the Registration Form.

CHOOSE ONE OF THE FIVE OPTIONS PROVIDED FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION, and in case you intend to contribute to  Symposia (S) , Thematic Discussion Group  (TDG) or Round Tables (RT), please INDICATE IN ADDITION ALSO THE ROLE YOU INTEND TO PLAY, i.e. Organiser/Contributor.

After you have successfully completed the registration form, the system will then automatically select the form which is specific to your option.

If you are an “ORGANIZER” of Symposia (S) , Thematic Discussion Group  (TDG) and Round Tables (RT), you are advised to COLLECT AND INSERT INDIVIDUAL ABSTRACTS FROM YOU and PARTICIPATING COLLEAGUES, THEIR NAMES and AFFILIATION, AS WELL AS AN INTEGRATED ABSTRACT WHICH IS REPRESENTATIVE OF THE SESSION AS A WHOLE, ALSO INDICATING KEY WORDS AND THEMATIC AREA.

If you are a “CONTRIBUTOR” within Symposia (S) , Thematic Discussion Group  (TDG) and Round Tables (RT), you  need only to COMPLETE THE REGISTRATION FORM, PREPARE YOUR ABSTRACT FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW and SEND IT SEPARATELY VIA E-MAIL TO THE ORGANIZER, who will be responsible to collect and insert all individual abstracts from participating colleagues, as well as an integrated abstract which is representative of the session as a whole (see above).

If you wish to present a Poster Interactive Session (PIS) or Free Contribution (FC), you need only to complete the REGISTRATION FORM and the applicable form for submitting your abstract which will appear during the registration form once you select your role and your registration is successfully completed.

You are advised that as part of the abstract form, you will be requested to insert a brief summary (of NO MORE THAN 300 WORDS); therefore it would be advisable to have prepared this prior to completing the application.

The text must be clearly structured, containing enough information concerning the nature of the work and including e.g., the following items: introduction, objectives, hypotheses, method, results, discussion and conclusion.

When you will submit the abstract, you will have also to indicate at least three key words and thematic area.

For each of the five presentation types (S, TDG, RT, PIS, FC), if the proposed contribution will be accepted and the participant regularly registered by 15th January 2006, the author will also submit the full text of his/her individual contribution, prepared according to the Norms for Submission of Papers, uploading the file via the 8thICSR web site by 31st March 2006.

Each participant will also upload the file of his/her power point presentation - via the 8thICSR web site - in advance the conference by 31st May 2006.
