Key Lectures

8th International Conference on Social Representations

Social Representations: Media and Society

The key lectures will be opportunities to expand the horizon to other related scientific fields which  deal  with social representations and communication  (semiotics,  linguistics,  sociology,  mass  communications,  media  studies,  symbolic anthropology,  etc.). They will deal with critical analysis and discussion of the relationship between multi-media communication systems (traditional and new) and Social Representations, while developing a multidisciplinary theoretical framework and multi-methodological approach.  Studies of different theoretical models inspired by the Social Representations paradigm will be presented with an eye to the value added when social psychological empirical  research  on communication  is  examined  in  the  light  of  other disciplinary fields, like economic  psychology,  political  psychology, the  science  of  communication, etc..
