Dissemination beyond participating organizations and countries

This project is transnational by its very nature and has as one of its primary purposes the dissemination of its outputs beyond those academic organizations who are formal members of the network. As above described, the So.Re.Com. THEmatic NETwork provides access to a rich European knowledge base tightly linked to policy-making processes on issues with a clear social impact (immigration and minority groups, quality of life, health, environment, information technology, etc.). The benefits of the network are offered to academic, public and private sector institutions as well as researchers and students in relevant social sciences both within and outside Europe.    The resulting exchange of information and experience will be of benefit to participants both in and outside the formal network.

The So.Re.Com. THEmatic NETwork will greatly improve contacts among current and potential members of this “scientific virtual campus”, in diverse social science disciplines around the globe, including less-favoured Regions.  It will provide a centre for the promotion of shared scientific events using a networking approach (web-video-conferences, e-meetings and moderated thematic forum).  It will facilitate direct individual contacts both among scientists and their research by linking the data base contact list with the comprehensive bibliographic inventory and E-library.
