STAGE ABROAD: |
Research trainees must relocate abroad at host partner institutions with which their co-tutors are associated and from whom they receive individual tutoring and co-tutoring for their research work. The international mobility will be planned jointly with the academic and/or non-academic partners depending on the research needs, of the collaborative research activities within the networked program involving the designated tutor and co-tutors. The duration and modalities of the abroad mobility will be defined case by case in agreement with the host institution on the basis of the scientific research training needs and the financial constrains. Ideally, the doctoral candidate is required to spend six months (even not consecutive) of his/her research training at each host insitutions of the two foreign co-tutors (twelve months in total). Physical mobility is interlocked with structured system of virtual mobility and interactive open learning system, by taking into account tha international mobility is only a tool, not a goal in itself. |

In alternative to the “conventional” Thesis format, Research Trainees can adopt the "three papers" PhD thesis format. |
