Shuttle bus arrangements

Appointment at arrival , Saturday 7th June, at 15.00, at the Airport of Rome Fiumicino: at the Bus Parking at the International arrivals Ð Terminal C.

At departure monday 16th June, leaving at 9.00 from Palestrina, foreseen arrival at Fiumicino at 10.30 Ð 11.00

 

Information on public transport, in case of autonomous arrival / departure

ARRIVAL FROM THE FIUMICINO AIRPORT

By rail:

Trains to Roma Tiburtina station (direction Orte / Fara Sabina) from 6.27 to 21.27. A ticket costs 4,70 Euro.

Non stop trains to Roma Termini Station leave from 6.37 to 23.37. A ticket costs 8,80 Euro.

Tickets can be purchased at vending machines located in the airport arrival hall and at the railway station. Train schedules are posted inside railway stations.

By bus (night service):

CO.TRA.L. bus services from airport to Roma Tiburtina railway station: night buses run from 00.15  to 05.00  The stop is close to the International Terminal arrivals area. Tickets must be bought on the bus and cost 5,00 Euro.

By taxi:

We strongly advise that you use licensed taxis with meters. The fares of the licensed public taxis from Fiumicino to Rome is about 40 Euro flat rate, surcharge fees are applied for baggage, night runs, Sundays and holidays. Therefore don't be surprised if the bill is considerably more than the fare shown on the meter.

 

ARRIVAL FROM THE FIUMICINO AIRPORT

The bus service links the airport Ciampino to the train station of Ciampino, from where every 15 minutes a train leaves to the station of Roma Termini and the metro station Anagnina.

The bus station and automatic ticket machine are near the arrival and departure terminal.

By taxi:

PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN ROME

Buying a ticket metrebus (http://www.atac.roma.it/)

The integrated ticket "Metrebus" gives you the freedom of using all the modes of public transport within the metropolitan area of Rome, excluding the direct rail link Termini- Fiumicino Airport, the special tourist service. Tickets must be bought before boarding, in the metro, at authorised vendors (newsagent, tobacconist) and automatic ticket machines. The different tickets are:

  • BIT (75 min ticket): 0,77 Euro.
  • BIG (daily ticket): 3,10 Euro.
  • CIS (a weekly ticket): 12,40 Euro

As you can see on the map:

Termini station is linked to Metro A (for connection to Metro Anagnina) as well as to Metro B ( for connection to Metro Ponte Mammolo).

Tiburtina station is linked to Metro B (for connection to Metro Ponte Mammolo).
