  • 3 year research training grants by the Co-ordinating University "La Sapienza"
    • 3-years scholarships funded by the co-ordinating University of Rome “La Sapienza” may be offered to one or two excellent candidates (of any country) selected on the basis of scientific merit and motivation to develop a co-operative research project proposed and led by the scientific co-ordinator of the European PhD. In this particular case, selection will include a personal interview and a language test.
    • During academic year 2001-2002, the European Ph.D. on S.R & C.  was for the first time officially made part of the XVII Research Doctorate Cycle of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. In cycles 2002-03, 2003-2004, 2004-2005 it obtained five more 3-year grants and in its meeting of 30-5-2002 the Academic Senate officially committed to guarantee the continuity of this doctoral education curriculum at the European level and to provide new (one or two) scholarships each year, at the condition the program obtaines a positive evaluation by the “Atheneum Evaluation Nuclei” and by the “Atheneum Doctoral committee.
  • Grants for international mobility funded by the co-ordinating University "La Sapienza"
    • Research trainees supported by 3 year grants receive an additional fifty per cent of their monthly financial support  for the full period of their stage abroad (up to 18 months).
  • Grants for part time jobs as assistants fundedby the co-ordinating University "La Sapienza"
    • Grants are provided by the Faculty of Psychology 2 or by the Department of Social and Developmental Psychology to a highly selective number of doctoral research trainees for part time jobs as assistants in methodological courses or in special didactic activities to support undergraduates.
  • Contribution from the co-ordinating University "La Sapienza" for the overall management of program activities and co-funded contracts (financial resources and infrastructures)
    • The co-ordinating university, “La Sapienza”, has pledged to guarantee the continuity and stability of this European doctorate not only by approving the new university regulations on Ph.D.s, but, to an important degree, financially as well.  It has co-financed the Advanced Curriculum Development program CDA, the  CDA-D programme for Dissemination, the Intensive Programmes IP from 1995-6-2000 approved under the Erasmus-Socrates Institutional Contracts, the more recent So.Re.Com.Thematic Network funded by EC-Education and Culture (2004-2007),  and the program and the Internationalisation program funded by M.I.U.R. 2000-4).
    • The acquisition of two prestigious facilities has been an important development in the logistical organization of all activities connected to the European Ph.D. on SR & C.  These include the scientific secretariat, educational facilities and installation of a Multi-media Lab and Research Centre in Palazzo Colonna at Piazza d’Ara Coeli, 1, located in the historic centre of Rome.  The second, dedicated to residential and intensive seminar activities, is located at the historic Castello Colonna in Genazzano, just outside Rome.
  • Grants from partner universities
    • To support some of their candidates, grants are provided by partner universities in conjunction with foundations or public and private agencies.
    • Contracts as part-time or full-time scientific collaborators provided by many partner universities are linked to different obligations to work for the administration of the institute, or to teach or collaborate on research projects of the institute not necessarily corresponding to the dissertation topic.
